WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM OREGON CHRYSANTHEMUMS AND HOSTAS LLC?
Chrysanthemums
You will want to open your delivery as soon as possible.
Chrysanthemum rooted cuttings will be shipped from March through the second week in June.
You will receive rooted cuttings that were started at least three weeks prior.
All of the chrysanthemum propagation will be grown in Earth Pots® Supplied to us from OBC Northwest, INC. in our home town here in Canby, Oregon.
In most cases the roots will be in 35 X 40mm plug that is wrapped with a 100% degradable fabric sleeve. They are designed to be planted with the sleeves on.
The rooted cuttings will be put in plastic bags then shipped in boxes with biodegradable packing material (peanuts) will be used to protect them. Orders will be shipped out early in the week in order to make sure deliveries are not delayed over the weekend.
Success can be expected if you plant them right away in good draining soil that does not have moisture-controlling additives. If there is a risk of frost, be sure they are protected. For more growing advice, you are encouraged to join your local and the national chrysanthemum societies.
